CHRIS & LINDSEY CARTER
LEAD PASTORS
Chris Carter was born and raised in Alaska. His wife Lindsey grew up in Costa Mesa, California near Los Angeles. Before coming to Japan, the Carters lived in the Philippines where Chris taught New Testament studies at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary. In Japan, Chris continues to teach New Testament to both graduate and undergraduate students at Central Bible College, Tokyo. In March of 2014, Chris became senior pastor of Tsukuba International Christian Assembly. You can find out more about Chris’ mission work here.
THOMAS MAYERS
TICA WORSHIP TEAM LEADER
Thomas is from the UK, but has lived in Japan for the last 14 years. Thomas’ dad is Yorkshire’s greatest pianist and worship leader, but it was his uncle teaching him how to play Jimi Hendrix riffs who gave him his first guitar. He’s been a guitarist and singer at TICA for over 15 years. Thomas is an assistant professor at the University of Tsukuba, father of two beautiful girls, painter, crazy windsurfer, and a follower of Jesus.
